Hi everyone,
Just wanted to send a quick update out as I locked everyone’s addresses on backerkit. The email said that I will be shipping the comic soon which is not the case. The comic will be getting printed next week but then I am on holiday. When I get back from holiday I want to be able to get straight on with packing up everyone’s rewards so I locked the addresses now so by the time I come to packing I’ll have hopefully solved any address issues.
We are aiming to get everything posted out by mid-November. We’re still very much on target for this date. When I start shipping out physical copies I will also send out the digital version of the comic, this will be through backerkit. This means there’s enough time for us to sort out any problems before Christmas.
I’ve got most of the physical rewards now (see picture below) just need to do the postcards which I was waiting for the final artwork to do. As an added bonus everyone who’s backed for the merchandise will be getting an extra bookmark and sticker! It was only slightly more money so I ordered a larger amount so I could give you all a little extra as a thank you!
I’ve had a few people ask me what the future is for the comic so I thought I’d take some time to explain. This is just the first issue of four for Sal and his Christmas “adventure”, we hope you like it enough to find out what happens in issue 2! We will be working on issue 2 next year but we won’t be running a Kickstarter for it this year, instead we will run a Kickstarter next year, around September. The reason for this is that I’ve been following and backing various projects on Kickstarter and comics with the shortest turnaround from the end of the Kickstarter and shipping tend to do better. We will of course update you throughout the year with how it's going.

Locking Orders 8th October

Hi everyone,
With the end rapidly approaching I am going to be locking the orders on BackerKit next Monday, 8th October. What this means is that you will no longer be able to edit your address in BackerKit. Of course if you need a change of address after that just contact me on here and so long as I haven’t shipped your order I can change it.
For those of you who have added extra things onto your orders, on October 15th BackerKit will be charging people’s cards. This will only be for the extras you’ve ordered, nothing else. If you’ve not added anything to your order you won’t be charged any money.
The comic is very close to completion, a tester is being sent to the printers to check that the setup of the file is okay. The art is all finished now so it’s time for another lettering and editing pass and then we’ll be all finished! It’s all very exciting and it’s been a busy few weeks. Liana has done a fantastic job with the art!

Hello everyone!
Apologies for not updating recently but I wanted to make sure we had a nice juicy update rather than spamming you with smaller, less interesting updates.
First off, how’s the comic coming along? In short, great. It has been inked and lettered, Liana is just colouring it now. All the flat colours are in and she is busy going through and adding detail. The lettering is looking good but will need some adjustments; it was a very helpful process as I was able to use it as an extra editing phase, I’m much happier with the text now. Have a look at some of the panels at the bottom of this update.
The next thing are the merchandise rewards. Again, see the bottom of the update for the bookmark, badge and sticker designs. We will decide on the panels for the postcards once Liana has finished colouring but we won’t release these in an update to avoid any potential spoilers.
We’re still well on track for getting the comic all shipped out around mid-November so it’s with everyone well in time for Christmas.

Thank you to everyone who voted for us, we won the stupendous panel competition! It was very close; we tied with the second place team but as we'd received more votes we won!
Thank you again for voting, it means a lot to us! Liana's work on the comic is truly excellent, and now it's award winning!!
